UN Women Deputy Executive Director Åsa Regnér visits Nigeria to Review The UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women

Mrs Asa Regnar, Deputy Executive Director of UN Women worldwide, paid a visit to Junior secondary school Apo Resettlement, Abuja on the 23rd of October 2019 to preview the UN trust fund to end the violence against women grant.

The high key event featured the attendance of important dignitaries which included the UN Women of Nigeria country representative; Mrs Chinyere Eyoh, Executive Director of SOAR Initiative and students of various schools that were under the project.

The event featured various activities which included a dance presentation by the students of Junior secondary school Apo resettlement in the FCT, a speech by Mrs Asa Regnar and individual presentations of girls that had their lives impacted by the project.

It was a smooth, tear jerking event in which Mrs Asa Regnar was well received and appreciated. The students and participants had a fun filled day in which they were excited and impacted greatly
