GEMS ARISE SUMMIT is our Annual event where girls from various Girls Clubs established and strengthened by SOAR Initiative over the years are brought together every October in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC).

In this year’s GEMS ARISE, it was all fun as SOAR Initiative brought together about 300 participants including over 200 girls from GIRLS CLUBS it established in 23 Secondary Schools (public and private) across Abuja/FCT in collaboration with the Gender Unit of the FCT Education Secretariat. The event is in commemoration of the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD.
SOAR’s theme for this year was EMPOWERING GIRLS AS ADVOCATES AGAINST SEXUAL AND GENDER BASED VIOLENCE.
