The training was part of the proposed project activities that will result in an increase in knowledge and development of skills of the Community Child Protection Committees established in the project communities to enable them protect the girls in their communities from sexual violence and also effectively address issues of sexual violence against girls.

It was a one day joint training that brought together the CCPCs in the two project communities and one of the communities, Wumba hosted the training. With 16 participants from Wumba and 17 participants from Dutse, attendance at the training was impressive and training activities which included group discussions of case studies enabled the participants to be engaged throughout the training and also allowed them address practical situations of sexual violence against girls. Relevant topics were delivered by 2 facilitators, the first and third training sessions were facilitated by the Executive Director of SOAR and the second training session was led by a guest facilitator.
